Fan-Favorite Chipotle IQ Trivia Game Returns

Today Chipotle Mexican Grill announced the return of Chipotle IQ, an online trivia game where players can win a buy-one-get-one code for future purchases. The game runs from today through Aug. 24.

Players can log on to www.ChipotleIQ.com to play the game, which consists of 10 multiple choice questions regarding Chipotle’s ingredients, culinary techniques, brand history and sustainability practices. If players answer all 10 correctly (they do receive additional chances if not) they win one of 250,000 codes redeemable for BOGO at the chain.

Those players who score a perfect 10 will also be offered a timed extra-credit question, which if answered correctly enters them for a chance to win one of 50 limited-edition, stainless steel $500 gift cards.

This marks the fourth year the fast-casual chain has run the trivia game. Last year, the 100,000 BOGO offers reserved for players who scored a perfect 10 out of 10 on the quiz were awarded in less than one hour after the game went live.

For players looking for a leg up on the competition, Chipotle enlisted former Chipotle team member turned creator Jordan Howlett, aka Jordan The Stallion, to help fans with Chipotle IQ's questions via his TikTok.

"We've introduced a new set of Chipotle trivia questions that put even our biggest superfans to the test," said Stephanie Perdue, vice president of brand marketing, in a release.

(Full disclosure: I, too, played the game. Twice. And missed the extra credit. She’s not kidding.)

Last week the Newport Beach, California-based chain announced it will support teachers in 2003 by giving away up to $100,000 in school supplies. Chipotle fans nominated their favorite K-12 educator -- and starting today, the chain will randomly select more than 350 to receive a Classroom Kit containing such items as notebooks, folders, pencils and erasers.
