Wendy's Teams Up With DC To Support Foster-Care Adoption With New Frosty Boo! Books

Wendy’s has announced it has joined forces with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products and DC for the upcoming Halloween season promotion to benefit kids in the foster system.

Beginning today, for $1 Wendy’s customers will be able to purchase a DC-inspired coupon book with five free Jr. Frosty treats, featuring iconic Frosty characters dressed up as DC Superheroes, including Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

A sixth bonus coupon is also included to redeem a $1.99 Wendy's Kids' Meal with any purchase.

Wendy's Kids' Meals will also feature collectible DC toys and special-edition packaging for a limited time.

The effort is supported by a humorous TV ad campaign with a :30 spot featuring a slightly overly zealous Wendy’s employee very enthused about the sale of the Boo! Books, which can be viewed here.

Wendy's DC-inspired Frosty Boo! Books are available for purchase now through October 31, 2023 at participating U.S. Wendy's locations.

Free Jr. Frosty and $1.99 Kids' Meal coupons may be redeemed until December 31, 2023.

Customers can also order the book via the mobile app or through Wendy's self-order kiosks. Coupons can only be redeemed in-restaurant.

Proceeds from the Boo! Book will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. For over 15 years, the Foundation has contributed more than $300 million to helping find permanent families for nearly 13,000 children across the United States and Canada.

The chain also announced last week the new 2 for $3 Biggie Bundles, available now. The bundle enables customers to create their own morning duo by mixing and matching two of these Wendy's items – Sausage Biscuit, Egg & Cheese Biscuit, Small Seasoned Potatoes, or Medium Hot Coffee,  for $3.

Wendy’s is the third-largest fast food burger chain in the United States with annual domestic sales in excess of $10 billion. Its franchisees employ hundreds of thousands of people across approximately 7,000 restaurants worldwide.
