DPAA Opens London Office, Appoints Waldron To Lead EMEA Ops

 

Digital out-of-home trade association DPAA has opened a new office in London and appointed Tim Waldron as executive director/Europe Middle East & Africa.  

Waldron is based in the new London office and will report to DPAA President and CEO Barry Frey. Waldron most recently served as CEO of Asian Intergrated Media.

Founding DPAA UK Board members include: Alight Media, GroupM/Kinetic, Hivestack, i-Media, Mass Media, Rapport, Talon, and Vistar Media. 

“We look forward to working with our new members and brand colleagues in the UK to promote the rapidly increasing role and measurable effectiveness of digital-out-of-home advertising in today’s omnichannel mix,” stated Frey. 

Digital-out-of-home has become one of the fastest growing advertising channels. According to Group M’s global advertising mid-year forecast, the medium is expected to increase by 26.1% in 2023 to $13.3 billion. 

The association also announced the formation of a UK Brand Board, which will meet regularly with the DPAA’s global board of directors and UK founding members to help guide innovation in the OOH space.  

The initial DPAA UK Brand Board members include:

  • Bhavesh Patel, Director of Media, Sky UK & Europe 

  • Sarah Mayall, Head of Brand Marketing, HSBC UK
