Lederer Joins Publicis NY As Head Of Strategy

Publicis New York has appointed Tony Lederer EVP, head of strategy.

He will lead strategy for Citi’s Power of One, which unites agency partners from across Publicis Groupe. He reports to Carla Serrano, Publicis NY CEO-global chief strategy officer of Publicis Groupe, and Patty Sachs, president and global client lead for Citi.

Prior to joining Publicis, Lederer was chief strategy officer at The&Partnership, working with brands such as Amazon, The Coca-Cola Company, Mars and The Wall Street Journal.

He has also held strategy and digital leadership roles at Grey New York, IMG and Cohn & Wolfe.

Sachs said Lederer's experience across strategy, digital and financial services will "elevate how the Power of One model comes to life for Citi.”

In its just-released earnings report, Publicis Groupe grew 5.3% organically in the third quarter, ahead of expectations, driven by a strong performances from its media operations and data unit Epsilon. That prompted the holding company to upgrade its full-year growth guidance to between 5.5% and 6%.
