The company previously worked with Horizon Media.

Agency research firm COMvergence estimates that Helzberg will spend $14 million on measured media this year with about $7 million earmarked for digital.

Helzberg Diamonds currently operates 170 stores nationwide, as well as an e-commerce website. Products include a selection of fine jewelry, precious gems, and watches.

Helzberg CMO Ellen Junger said, “A key factor in awarding the business to Walz Tetrick was the agency’s hyper-focused approach to DMA level media strategies. The agency’s team of multi-unit retail specialists will seek to outsmart, not outspend, the competition.”

Walz Tetrick CEO and owner Charlie Tetrick said the agency will utilize its data analytics platform to integrate and ingest media channels and retail sales to strategize for future brand growth.

The agency, founded in 1967, serves clients in healthcare, multi-unit franchise, higher education, B2B and entertainment.

Helzberg is based in North Kansas City, MO. Berkshire Hathaway bought the firm in 1996.
