Announcing the appointment today, Cincinnati-based media agency Empower has hired Alexander Marshall as president and chief growth officer. 

Marshall, a 20-year media agency veteran, joined the agency from Mindshare last month. He was at the GroupM agency for five years, most recently as a New York-area managing director. Prior to Mindshare, he was with Dentsu’s iProspect where he served in managerial posts in Seoul, South Korea and Singapore before coming to New York as a vice president.

Empower earlier confirmed it has shed its “un-holding company” positioning for the new mantra, “grow fearlessly.” 

“Alex embodies my favorite Empower Value, ‘Bring the Heat’ and I’m sure we will light a fire and blaze a trail like no other independent agency in the marketplace today,” stated Empower CEO Ashlee Clarke, who acquired the agency at the beginning of this year.
