WPP’s FGS Global has acquired Canadian communications and public affairs advisory firm Longview Communications and Public Affairs. 

WPP formed FGS Global two years ago when it merged Finsbury, The Glover Park Group, Hering Schuppener and Sard Verbinnen into a single agency that offers board-level and c-suite counsel in areas including corporate reputation, crisis management, government affairs and financial communications.  

In addition to WPP, the firm, with 1,300 staffers worldwide, has backing from private equity firm KKR. 

Longview, a specialist in reputational issues will operate as FGS Longview Canada. 

The firm will continue to be manage by Longview partners Josh Pekarsky, Bruce Drysdale, Ian Hamilton and Hugh McFadyen. The firm has offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. FGS has an additional eight offices in the U.S.
