WorkReduce CEO Dolan Arrested On Alleged Solicitation Charges

News reports out the Washington DC area reported that marketing talent platform WorkReduce CEO Brian Dolan was arrested in Fairfax, VA last week and charged with multiple counts related to solicitation of a minor.

WJLA reported that parents of one underage person told police that their child had been communicating with someone named “Alex” via Snapchat and received what were described as “illicit pictures.”  “Alex” turned out to be Dolan, 48, who allegedly was trying to convince the underage person to meet him at a shopping center.

WJLA reported that Fairfax County detectives were working with other law enforcement agencies to determine if more victims were involved in the case.

Dolan founded WorkReduce in 2015. Earlier he was a marketing consultant and spent five years at Data Xu as director of sales.

A source familiar with the situation said that Dave Hudson, an investor and board advisor to WorkReduce, has taken on the interim leadership role pending the appointment of a new CEO. Dolan is leaving the company according to a note the firm issued to clients.

The note, obtained by MediaPost, states:

"We want to share some very difficult news that you are likely to hear in the media over the next few days. Brian Dolan has recently been arrested and charged with a number of serious crimes unrelated to WorkReduce. We want to make sure that you hear this from us first and are aware of our plans moving forward.

"Given the severity of the allegations, effective immediately the company has transitioned to interim leadership, and we have begun the process of removing Brian as an officer and director of the company. The board has also started the process of implementing a permanent leadership transition plan. We will provide further details as soon as these plans are completed.

"We want to assure you that while our team is deeply disturbed by this news, the company is 100% committed to serving you, and this will not impact the quality of services you receive in any way. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your sales or client success representative.

Best Regards,

The WorkReduce Team."
