Jim Metevier, who served as the president and COO of  Mountain Mike's Pizza since 2018, has now been promoted to CEO.

 “Under Metevier’s leadership, the brand increased same store sales by 32% over the past five years, total system sales by 83%, with the top 10% of stores reaching $1.8 million and the top 25% recording $1.6 million,” per the announcement.

In a statement Chris Britt, principal owner and co-chairman, praised Metevier as a “charismatic leader and experienced change agent” who “has developed exceptionally strong relationships with our dedicated franchisees.”

While Metevier served as COO, Mountain Mike’s also expanded its footprint into states such as Texas, Idaho, Utah and Arizona. The company has additionally signed development deals in Colorado, Nevada, Wisconsin and Washington.

Metevier joined Mountain Mike’s with nearly three decades worth of previous restaurant experience. He spent the majority of his career  at Yum Brands, rising to CEO in 2011 after holding such senior positions at director, market planning, before becoming CEO of KFC. Most recently Metevier served as president of Biscuitville Fresh Southern, a regional quick-casual chain, before joining Mountain Mike’s.
