Veteran MTV ad sales executive Rick Beispel has been named senior vice president-national advertising sales for VH1. Beispel will also be in charge of VH1's multimedia and multiplatform sales
activities. Previously, Beispel had worked as vice president-new business development for MTV, and focused on MTV 360, MTV's interactive and Internet platform. Beispel will report to Tom Calderone,
general manager, VH1 and Hank Close, executive vice president-ad sales, Music and Comedy Group.
