NBC VP McCarley Adds Advertising, Promotion To Portfolio

Mike McCarley, vp-communications and marketing at NBC Universal's sports unit, has taken on a wider portfolio that includes oversight of advertising, promotion and brand strategy for the group. His new title is vp-strategic marketing, promotion and communications. McCarley will also serve as NBC Sports' liaison to the NBC Agency, the network's in-house ad agency, and will represent NBC Sports on the NBC Universal Marketing Council, a cadre of marketing exec from various units in the company who collaborate on promotional matters.
