PRIMEDIA Launches Latest Sailing Mag

  • April 14, 2004
PRIMEDIA's newest title, BoatWorks for the Hands-On Sailor, has arrived on newsstands. The mag, billed by the company as "a practical do-it-yourself boat restoration and maintenance guide for the sailing enthusiast," is produced by the editors of SAIL. It will be published quarterly and is priced at $4.99.

"We're catering to a market segment full of sailing enthusiasts who are buying used boats and spending a lot of time, money and dedication in restoring them to their earlier states of grandeur," said BoatWorks publisher Eric Cressy in a press release. "Our goal is to make readers' sailing safer, easier and more fun."

BoatWorks is PRIMEDIA's third sailing title. SAIL is targeted at both racers and cruisers, while Sailboat Buyers Guide is aimed at those in the market to buy. Other titles in the company's Marine Group include Power & Motoryacht, Voyaging and Power & Motoryacht's complete guide to cruising.
