Miller Brews Import Plan

  • October 11, 2006
Milwaukee-based Miller Brewing will begin importing SABMiller's top brands from Europe and South America in an effort to tap the growing import market, which grew to approximately 12.4 percent of the U.S. beer market last year. Beginning in January, Miller will import Aquila from Colombia and Cristal and Cusquena from Peru. The plan is to target South American populations in areas such as Florida and New York. Miller will also expand the distribution of Polish brew Tyskie, targeting an estimated 6 million Polish-Americans in Chicago and New York City.
