Grey Has Colorful Quarter: Green

Grey Global Group's first-quarter revenues rose 16 percent to $344 million, compared to the first quarter of 2003. The parent company of MediaCom benefited from a weak U.S. dollar as well as strength in international operations, although the U.S. operation was up about 10 percent. Net income was $6.3 million, or $4.64 a share, for the first quarter of 2004 compared with $5.1 million, or $3.41 a share, a year ago. Key new business wins included Nokia to Grey Worldwide and MediaCom.
