Closing in on General Motors as the world's biggest vehicle maker, Toyota Motor Corp. yesterday reported its 25th straight month of growth in worldwide production. The company said global production
totaled 736,003 vehicles in November--up 12.3% from the same month last year. Last week, Toyota executives in Japan laid out a 4% production target to 9.42 million vehicles for next year. General
Motors, which has yet to release targets for 2007, produced an estimated 9.2 million vehicles this year.
