'Meet The Press' Meets The Radio, Westwood One Picks Up NBC's Public Affairs Show

Westwood One and NBC News said Wednesday that the radio launch of the NBC News Sunday morning public affairs program "Meet the Press with Tim Russert" will begin Sunday, May 23. The one-hour program will air every Sunday at 12 noon ET and will be re-fed at 3 pm and 6 pm ET. Affiliates broadcasting "Meet the Press" include, among others: WTKK-FM Boston, WTNT-AM Washington DC, KTRH-AM Houston, KSL-AM Salt Lake City, and KMBZ-AM Kansas City. In its 57th year, "Meet the Press" is the longest-running television program in the world, and generates more Monday morning headlines than any other public affairs program. Tim Russert, NBC News' Washington Bureau Chief, has moderated the venerable television institution since December 8, 1991. Westwood One produces and distributes NBC News Radio, which is comprised of one-minute newscasts broadcast hourly each weekday from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
