Federal Express and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation have both ceased advertising on KSFO, the controversial extremist right-wing ABC Radio affiliate, spokespersons for both advertisers
confirmed yesterday. In both cases, the organizations asserted they were unaware that media firms had placed their marketing messages on the station. They had no plans to advertise on the station
again. "We were horrified," said Mike Shore, chief communications officer for MEDC. KSFO's programming has come under increased scrutiny following wide Internet postings of audio files from the
station's morning drive-time program, as the hosts mock Islam, endorse torture and enact the execution of journalists. --Tom Siebert
