MGM To Syndicate Comedy Central Shows

  • February 1, 2007
Edgy Comedy Central shows "Reno 911!" and "Chappelle's Show" have been sold into syndication by MGM in the country's top-three markets. The shows have been picked up by Tribune's WPIX in New York and the two Fox-owned stations in Chicago. In Los Angeles, MGM sold "Reno" to CBS-owned KCAL and "Chappelle's" to the Fox-owned duopoly. The shows have also cleared in 15 other markets. MGM will keep three minutes of the ad time per half-hour to sell itself, and give stations four minutes to sell locally.--David Goetzl
