Like many, but not all editions of
Real Media Riffs, Wednesday's column
("NIELSEN
101") was written with a tongue planted firmly in cheek. Some readers apparently took its portrayal of what was intended to be clearly outlandish findings from Nielsen's new college TV ratings
sample literally. The editors of MediaPost have no direct knowledge of the column's veracity, and as usual, the Riff declines to reveal his or her sources. We regret any confusion the column might
have caused with real life, and recommend that subscribers read future editions of
Real Media Riffs at their own risk and with little more than a grain of salt.
