NBC Expands Late-Night Broadband Programming

NBC is expanding its late-night broadband suite. The network will fill NBC.com with more "SNL" content, including some online originals, in addition to the wealth of "Saturday Night Live" videos already on its Web site. And it will add new offerings from "The Tonight Show, "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and "Last Call with Carson Daly."

A new "Backstage" section for "SNL" will offer behind-the-scenes footage from the set as a producer offers a tour of each show's off-camera happenings. NBC.com visitors will be able to get a look at two versions of show sketches: one that aired and an alternate version from a rehearsal. There is also a user-generated content opportunity for viewers to upload videos of themselves starring in "Weekend Update."

In a similar vein, there will be a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to get "The Tonight Show" off the ground. NBC.com will feature Webisodes of "Jay Leno's Garage" series each Monday.

"Conan" content will include footage from his trip to San Francisco this month and an "Appreciation Club" sponsored by Ford Taurus that will be housed in the host's "Late Night Underground" section.

"Last Call with Carson Daly" takes a page out of MTV's "Total Request Live" (a show Daly used to host) by following bands that will appear on the show around the set as they prepare to take the stage, including a peek inside the green room.
