Westwood One reported that 1Q revenues were down 9.4%--$109.4 million compared with $120.8 million for the first quarter of 2006. The company also endured a 10.7% drop in revenues from national
advertising, which was attributed, in part, to noncomparable revenues from the Olympics broadcast the previous year. More bad news: Westwood had a 7.9% decline in revenues from local/regional
commercial ads.
