Carvel, The Bump Partnership Targets Expectant Women

  • May 14, 2007
Carvel Ice Cream is partnering with The Bump, a regional pregnancy living guide, in a celebration of mothers-to-be and the month of August, which holds the record for the highest birth rate and the highest daily temperatures nationwide.

Prior to "National Cool the Bump Month," Carvel will post descriptions of 10 new flavors to thebump.com, where consumers will vote on their favorite. On Aug. 1, Carvel will launch the winning ice cream flavor, available for a limited time with a portion of the proceeds going to a select children's charity.

Utilizing CarvelDeliver.com, a local expectant mother's group will win a free ice cream party featuring the winning Carvel recipe. In addition, one customer and event attendee will be selected to receive free ice cream throughout the duration of her pregnancy.

The Bump will distribute gift bags brimming with all the latest maternity-related products from its advertisers. The Bump is currently distributed in nine U.S. markets, with two additional regional launches taking place this summer in New York City and Atlanta.

The Bump produces upscale, informative and fun local resource guides that are available from obstetrics offices and retailers.
