NAB Opposes XM/Sirius Radio Merger

The head of the National Association of Broadcasters has told Sirius Radio CEO Mel Karmazin to drop the idea of a merger. The NAB opposes the XM/Sirius alliance and says it misleads the public about the deal's benefits. NAB president and CEO David Rehr accused Karmazin of pushing the merger to cover up his bad business decision, like giving Howard Stern a multimillion-dollar, multi-year deal.
