DuPont Heads Oxygen's Sales

Oxygen, now part of NBC Universal's Bravo unit, said Michael DuPont has been promoted to vice president ad sales, with responsibility for all the brand's platforms.

The executive will jointly report to Steve Mandala, who leads cable sales for NBCU, and Lauren Zalaznick, who heads Oxygen and Bravo.

Mary Jeanne Cavanagh had held the role of executive vice president of advertising sales for Oxygen prior to its acquisition last year. And DuPont, who joined the network in 2004, had worked with her, recently as head of Oxygen's East Coast sales duties.

Mandala said DuPont has notable "experience working on integrated sales opportunities and is in a great position to build a 360 sales approach for the network."

Bravo has placed an emphasis on deals that involve product integration and off-air sponsorships of its reality series, including extending to its Web and mobile offerings.

DuPont had served as senior vice president, ad sales at a youth-oriented site before joining Oxygen. He also spent eight years at MTV Networks, where he sold outlets ranging from Nickelodeon to MTV and VH1.
