Lifetime TV Sees Ratings Win with Golden Girls Special

Lifetime Television's The Golden Girls: Their Greatest Memories became the highest-rated special in the network's 19-year history when the 90-minute program posted a 3.7HH rating, averaging 3.2 million households during its premiere June 2. The Golden Girls event on Lifetime from 6 p.m. to midnight, including the special, the series pilot and the series finale, was seen by nearly 15 million people, Lifetime said. It ranked number one in its time period in households, all key women demographics, and key adult demographics, including adults 18-34, compared to basic cable networks.
