Biography Magazine has named Fallon/Minneapolis' John King as the winner of its "Media Bio of the Year" contest. The award, designed to celebrate the personal and career achievements of
media-industry professionals, will be presented to King at a luncheon later in the month. King, a connection planner at Fallon, was cited for creating his company's "Dreamcatchers" employee-benefits
program as well as for his side career as a writer (he has written a novel and composes a regular hockey column). As part of the award, he will be a featured subject in Biography Magazine's current
trade-advertising campaign and will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Bermuda.
"As a father of two, novelist, entrepreneur and creator of 'Dreamcatchers' - all before the age of 30 - John King
more than fits the bill as this year's honoree," said Biography Magazine vice president and publisher Tom McCluskey in a press release. King was nominated for the award by his boss, Fallon media
director Lisa Seward.
