Brian Urlacher, an all-star linebacker with the Chicago Bears, has signed a two-year advertising deal with Old Spice. To coincide with Red Zone Deodorant's retail availability in August 2003, Urlacher will appear in Old Spice's print and TV advertising spots, as well as make promotional and media appearances for the brand. The first series of Urlacher advertisements, developed by Saatchi & Saatchi, will debut in August 2003 in print and television. Print advertising will break in September issues of national sports and men's magazines. Thirty-second television spots will break on August 11th, and will be seen in programs that include national professional football broadcast, and popular cable and network TV programs. Renowned sports photographer, Walter Iooss, shot the print advertising.
