ABC To Bring Celebrity Moles to the Yucatan

  • June 11, 2003
ABC plans another round of celebrity subterfuge as the network announced Wednesday that it would air another short-season of the Celebrity Mole series later this year. Following up on Celebrity Mole Hawaii that aired this past season, eight celebrities will vie in the Yucatan region of Mexico for Celebrity Mole Yucatan. New celebrities Ananda Lewis, Mark Curry, Angie Everhart, Tracy Gold, Keisha Knight-Pulliam and Dennis Rodman will compete against returning celebrities Stephen Baldwin and Corbin Bernsen. Ahmad Rashad will return to host the series.

"We learned from Celebrity Mole Hawaii that performers play this game very, very well because their acting abilities raise their level of deception," said Scott A Stone, who is co-executive producer. The series will run in seven episodes, with the participants trying to figure out who is a mole among them. The prize will range up to $250,000, with last season's winner Kathy Griffin taking home $233,000.
