Bonnie Fuller, a magazine industry veteran who helped create the celebrity weekly category, is stepping down as executive vice president and chief editorial director of American Media Inc., where she
had overseen the editorial operations of
Star magazine, as well as other tabloids like
The National Enquirer and
Globe, and consumer magazines like
Shape, Men's Fitness, Muscle
& Fitness, Natural Health and
Fit Pregnancy. Fuller joined AMI in 2003, leaving her post as editor in chief of Wenner Media's
Us Weekly to lead the editorial revamping of some of
AMI's tabloid titles as glossy celebrity weeklies. Before her tenure at Wenner, Fuller made her reputation with top positions at Gruner & Jahr's
YM, Hearst's
Marie Claire and Conde
Nast's
