Nashville Star Signed On For Second Season

The second season of Nashville Star will premiere on USA Network in the first quarter of 2004, the network said Wednesday. Twelve finalists will compete for the grand prize of a recording contract with a major record label. The first season premiered March 8, with Buddy Jewell of Oseola, Ark., winning the prize. Nashville Star is created and produced by Reveille, headed by Ben Silverman (Coupling, The Restaurant) with H.T. Owens (The Restaurant) and Mark Koops (The Restaurant) serving as co-executive producers. George Verschoor (Real World, Murder in Small Town X) and his production company, Hoosick Falls Productions, is executive producing in association with Reveille.
