McClatchy Interactive, the online division named David G. Fitzpatrick II as vice president for strategic initiatives. Fitzpatrick recently served as vice president, sales for McClatchy Interactive and
general manager of Real Cities Network. Fitzpatrick joined McClatchy in 2006. Previously, he was the managing partner of Vasari Communications, which focused on wireless PDA technology for conferences
and events. McClatchy's network of 30+ sites is visited by more than 27 million consumers monthly.
