Facebook is reportedly ready to pay celebrities to use its Live streaming video service. “This isn’t the first time Facebook has tried recruiting famous people to use some part of its service, but it is the first time it has used money as an incentive,” Re/code reports. “Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg is in Los Angeles this week, chatting up talent agencies about her plans.”

The German federal competition authority is investigating Facebook, and what it believes to be “an abusive imposition of unfair conditions on users.” Specifically, the Bundeskartellamt is arguing that the social giant’s terms and conditions, in which users agree to have their data collected for the purposes of ad-targeting, are difficult for users to understand.

The McDonald’s Happy Meal box can now be turned into a virtual reality headset. “Called ‘Happy Goggles,’ the low cost, do-it-yourself VR headset is being offered as part of a limited-time promotion at McDonald's locations in Sweden,” ABC News reports. “A compatible smartphone can … be inserted into the goggles to take advantage of a 360-degree video experience.”
