    Despite his furtive involvement in the legal disemboweling of Gawker, Peter Thiel will get to keep his position on Facebook’s board of directors, The Washington Post reports. “Peter did what he did on his own, not as a Facebook board member,” Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg said at an industry conference, this week.
  • NBA Taps Twitter To Put Out 360-Degree Video
    The NBA and Twitter are partnering up to put out 360-degree video content before and after each finals game between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. “The deal marks the first time a Twitter Amplify campaign has centered around 360-video content,” Variety reports. Samsung is sponsoring the initiative.
  • Myspace Suffers Security Breach
    Though several years old, a large set of stolen Myspace username and password combinations have been stolen, and are being made available for sale in an online hacker forum. “It appears to be limited to a portion of the overall user base from the old Myspace platform prior to June 11, 2013, at which point the site was relaunched with added security,” TechCrunch reports. Time, Inc. acquired Myspace and other properties when it bought Viant earlier this year.
