Nickelodeon, the cable network for kids, has surpassed the 80 million subscriber mark, making it one of the most fully distributed ad-supported basic cable networks. Now in its 22nd year, Nickelodeon
has been the number-one network among all basic cable for more than five years (22 consecutive quarters) among kids 2-11 and households on a total-day basis. The network also has been number one among
kids 2-11 against all broadcast and basic cable competition on Saturday mornings for the last 50 consecutive weeks, led by "Rugrats," and "SpongeBob SquarePants."
