Disney-owned Go.com will not be shuttering its services after all, as the Burbank, Calif. based web portal has said that it will maintain a modified version of its services by using Pasadena, Calif.
based GoTo.com to power its search engine. GoTo.com's technology will replace the Infoseek search engine, which Disney acquired in 1998. Last month, Go.com laid off a majority of its staff, at the
time signaling a shutdown of the site. Other Disney-owned sites include ABCnews.com and ESPN.com.
