Interep to Sell iSpot Ads on Audio Sites

  • by October 3, 2000
RadioWave.com announced an agreement with national rep firm Interep Interactive to sell RadioWave.com's iSpot(TM) advertising inventory on the company's network of streaming audio sites.

RadioWave.com, an interactive audio entertainment company, created the iSpot, the new advertising medium on the Internet that targets consumers with an audio call to action and a coordinated, interactive graphic.

RadioWave.com, which recently launched 40 branded channels of music for MSN Chat Radio, is rapidly expanding its network of interactive music sites.

Interep Interactive will sell iSpot inventory across the RadioWave.com Network, including MSN Chat Radio, Rolling Stone Radio, ARTISTdirect Radio Network Blue Note Records Radio, Astralwerks Radio, Alligator Records Radio, and the Susquehanna Radio Corp. group of major market broadcast radio stations.

Interep Interactive will help advertisers purchase media on select RadioWave network sites, or throughout the entire network. RadioWave.com pioneered technology that enables ad insertion into live, streaming audio and allows advertisers to target specific consumer demographics.

Interep will sell RadioWave.com's iSpot, which combines a radio spot with an Internet ad banner to create a targeted and compelling advertising vehicle for both advertisers and the end user. The iSpot provides advertisers with a variety of unique benefits, including interactivity with the advertiser's web site via a direct click from the graphic that accompanies the audio.

Further, as the user searches the site, the audio spot continues to play, communicating key marketing messages without interruption. In addition, the iSpot is able to target demographically diverse groups, communicate key branding messages, and promote e-commerce.
