Today San Francisco-based web consulting and marketing firm Marketleap unveiled its online link popularity tool. The tool is a new way to quantify a web site's awareness, and overall visibility
online. The tool can also be used to check up on competition. Noel McMichael, president of Marketleap notes that link popularity is a key measurement for any online business, as it relates directly to
a site's overall appeal to other sites.
To use the link-pop tool, one must go to http://linkpop.marketleap.com then enter the desired URL. Then if you want to see how that URL stacks up against a
certain competitor, there is an option to enter up to three competitor URLs. A customized benchmarking chart is completed within seconds.
Link popularity is the total number of links that a search
engine has found for a website. Marketleap designed this tool to help businesses identify who is linking to their sites, and to deliver the benchmarking reports that show where a business stands in
relation to its competitors. The Marketleap link popularity tool is available free of charge at http://linkpop.marketleap.com. - Adam Bernard
