Sure --
The Atlantic is a venerated, 150-year-old print publication. But do they even have someone overseeing digital strategy? Well, they do now.
The Atlantic named Scott Havens to the
newly created position of vice president, digital strategy and operations.
Havens comes straight from the recently shuttered Condé Nast Portfolio, where he was
executive director.
The Atlantic is actually no slouch when it comes to online content. Yesterday it was announced that the mag won the Webby Award for Magazine Site of the Year, and also
took the People's Voice award in that same category.
Havens will work closely with The Atlantic's editorial, sales and technology teams as he oversees TheAtlantic.com's audience development,
strategic alliances and partnerships, business development, technology, and digital advertising operations/analytics.--John Capone
