Micheal Tchong, founder and editor of Iconocast, a leading resource for online marketing, announced yesterday that Iconocast was introducing two new products to help marketers "win the battle" to
establish the Internet as a true medium. The first is IconoMap, billed as "The Ultimate Internet Reference Guide", an oversized, 14-panel glossy "cheat-sheet", crammed with facts, research and data on
all things online. Some of the information found in this guide includes: Top US markets for Internet usage, % of rich media acceptance by sites, projections on broadband penetration and trends in
online marketing. The guide is being sold for $15.00.
The second product is a new weekly email newsletter called "Iconocast Prosumer." Prosumer was a term coined in 1980 by noted author and
futurist Alvin Toffler in his book The Third Wave and is defined as a consumer who can control the process and customization of goods. Each week, the email will showcase one superior new product or
service-- starting off with notebook computers, printers, PDAs, digital cameras and then moving into high-end audio and video gear, hot travel destinations and more. Additionally, Iconocast Prosumer
will feature two innovative features: an animated, interactive product shot and a brief questionnaire to further engage readers in a one-to-one dialog. - Adam Herman
