On the heels of its strongest-ever fourth quarter, VH1 is on track to post gains in 1Q 2001, led by record high ratings for the month of February. VH1 set new highs for February in HH and P18-49
ratings. In Total Day, 6 a.m.-6 a.m., HH ratings showed an 8% increase vs. last year, while P18-49 rose 18%. In primetime, the network also posted an 8% increase in HH and an 18% growth among P18-49,
making the month the highest rated February in VH1's history. Strong ratings for "Behind the Music" premieres, new programs such as "FanClub," movies, and specials such as "Greatest TV Moments"
propelled the overall ratings gain.
VH1 closed out the year 2000 with record high viewership levels, including its highest rated fourth quarter ever, posting 4th Quarter results up 4% among
households and 11% among P18-49 versus the previous year on a Monday-Sunday 6 a.m.-6 a.m. basis. Primetime was up +7 % among households and +19% among P18-49. December 2000 was the highest rated
December ever.
In January, 78 million P2+ tuned in to the network, the highest ever cume total, topping the previous record set in December 2000.
