Advertising revenues for the national cable TV networks continue to rise, with significant double-digit gains posted for the first three quarters of 2000, according to Cabletelevision Advertising
Bureau. CAB estimates, based on PricewaterhouseCoopers data compiled for the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association (BCFMA), national cable network ad revenues for January-September 2000
increased by more than $1.3 billion (+21.8%) to $7.28 billion.
CAB projects that national cable network ad revenues for the full calendar year will top $10 billion for the first time ever. Total
cable industry advertising revenues, which also include local/spot and regional network dollars, are expected to exceed $13.7 billion in 2000.
