Web surfers made last-minute visits to candidate and political news and information sites the day before Elections, according to the latest from Media Metrix. Highlights of the report include:

-Cnn.com and Msnbc.com garnered the most daily traffic on Election Day, with 3.5 and 2.6 million unique visitors, respectively.

-Traffic to broadcast news sites surged during Election Day, with daily traffic to Abcnews.go.com and Cbsnews.com increasing by 184.9% and 115.8%, respectively.

-Daily traffic to Voter.com increased by 72.5% on Election Day to 835,000 unique visitors, from 484,000 unique visitors the day before.

-Daily traffic to candidate sites Algore.com and Georgewbush.com increased by 85.3% and 47.4%, respectively, the day before the Elections.
