Real-Time Dynamic Messaging and Optimization in Opt-in Email?

  • November 7, 2000
Mediaplex will officially launch its MOJO Mail at @d:tech.NewYork tomorrow. According to company officials, MOJO Mail will be able to generate message content directly for enterprise systems when the email is opened rather than when it is sent. Incorporating Mediaplex's MOJO (mobile java objects) technology, MOJO Mail will be a customer relationship management tool designed to deliver real-time messages tied to an advertiser's key business variables - such as inventory, pricing, and back-end customer information - and to communicate results back in near-real-time for ongoing optimization.

Mediaplex says the ideal candidates for MOJO Mail include B-to-C and B-to-B companies in the travel, retail, and financial sectors that stand to benefit most from time-sensitive offers, promotions, and communications. Users of MOJO Mail will be able to upload their in-house mailing list, then use HTML templates to define dynamic content fields. Marketers should also be able to program business rules to segregate customer groupings for specific offers. Once the dynamic fields are defined and business rules are complete, the marketer can tag relevant pages in order to track customer behavior through to a transaction and deliver real-time ROI results.
