Interactive Payphones Get Representation

Clear Blue Media, an interactive media solutions provider, has been appointed by Elcotel Telecommunications, a leading developer of public communication terminals, as the exclusive advertising network for Elcotel’s newest interactive pay phone, the Grapevine Terminal.

Under the terms of the contract, Clear Blue Media will secure advertising on the Grapevine terminals, located in major airports, convention centers, hotels and other public locations. The Grapevine terminal features include access to email, stock quotes, weather, horoscopes, direct speed-dial connections for rental cars, hotels, and more; and, Internet access through a direct data port.

The Grapevine Terminals are owned by major public pay phone providers or the facility owners, and current locations include John F. Kennedy Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport and Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport.

Elcotel will soon add other major airport sites and projects the number of units in all locations will reach an estimated 1.3 billion travelers in 2001 and three billion travelers by the end of 2002, with a minimum number of deployed units estimated to be 15,000 in 2001 and 30,000 by the end of 2002.
