PAX TV Signs Strategic Agreement With Media General's NBC-Affiliated Stations in Tampa & Roanoke

Paxson Communications Corporation announced today that it has entered into Joint Sales Agreements (JSA) with two NBC-affiliated stations owned by Media General, Inc. Under the agreement, Media General's WFLA-TV Channel 8, in Tampa and WSLS-TV Channel 10 serving Roanoke will provide sales and marketing infrastructure for the local PAX TV stations, WXPX TV-66 in Tampa and WPXR TV-35 in Roanoke. Additionally, WFLA-TV and WSLS-TV will provide re-purposed local newscasts for WPXP-TV and WPXR-TV respectively. These latest agreements with Media General's NBC-affiliated stations, combined with the recently announced JSAs with 6 Gannett-owned stations and 3 with The New York Times Company, brings PAX to a total of 29 JSAs, 12 of which are in of the top 20 markets (65%) and 15 that fall within the top 30 markets (50%).
