Viacom Inc. recently introduced a new sales and media unit that allows clients to advertise and promote through all of its media properties, including MTV Networks and Blockbuster.
The company said
in a statement it has renamed the unit Viacom Plus from CBS Plus and expanded its reach to more of Viacom's properties, which also include Infinity, Nickelodeon, CBS Internet Group and Simon &
Schuster.
More and more media companies are moving toward "cross-platform sales and marketing," which aim to promote advertisers' products through all media properties.
Viacom Plus will continue
to be led by co-senior vice presidents Pam Haering and Lisa McCarthy.
