Beta Test Figures for Global Network's Real-time Verification Software

  • November 2, 2000
Global Network Incorporated has announced the results of its most recent beta test for its proprietary real-time verification software. The Company worked with the New York Daily News to track the number of real-time impressions for a small banner ad that ran for a period of one month on the home page of the Daily News at www.nydailynews.com.

Site traffic was tracked internally by the Daily News, by Global Network and by a third party ad server. The beta test results showed that the GNI System's traffic numbers had a variance of less than 2% from that of the Daily News' internal numbers, as compared to a significant variance of over 15% generated by a third-party ad server.

"These beta test figures further validate the GNI System's accuracy in tracking ad impressions on a real-time basis. It is critical that third party ad servers who work with publishers generate accurate numbers in measuring traffic. Any discrepancy can lead to a disagreement on the value of the ad inventory, and the resulting ad revenues generated. We are very pleased to have worked with the New York Daily News to deploy this test," stated Mr. Jim Mason, President and CEO of Global Network.
