More than 250 entries were judged in one of three major categories: consumer retail, business-to-business, and corporate image. E*Trade Securities won the Best-of-Show award for its "Emergency Room" television ad, which was created by Goodby, Silverstein + Partners. The spot won the "Corporate Image - TV Single" category as well. E*Trade also captured top honors in the "Corporate Image - Outdoor Single Ad" category for its "Tooth Fairy" execution.
Another big winner of the evening, Charles Schwab, won three awards. The company's "Retirement Home" and "Ringo Starr" ads tied for the top spot in the "Consumer Retail - TV Single Ad" category and its "Trash; Ringo; Retirement" campaign took home the "Consumer Retail-TV Campaign" prize. BBDO created all Charles Schwab's winning ads.
