WGME-TV (CBS 13) in Portland, Maine won top honors in Maine's Associated Press 2000 annual awards, including "Station of the Year." In addition to being named "Station of the Year," WGME News 13 took
first place in the following six categories: Best Continuing Coverage, Best Spot News, Best Public Affairs, Best Election Coverage, Best Feature, and Best Medical Reporting. WGME News 13 also won an
additional 10 awards for 2nd place, 3rd place and honorable mention.
