USA Today is joining The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times in offering a branded wine club. USA Today's twist on the concept is that reader-tasting panels
will help determine the selection of wines that are shipped.
The club offers members six bottles of wine quarterly, for $70 plus $12 shipping. Each wine is accompanied by tasting notes,
facts about the region and varietal and a recipe to create a meal pairing. The program is operated by My Wines Direct. Are newspaper microbrew or gourmet coffee clubs around the corner?
